It offers 20% to 30% of project costs, capped at R20 million over a two-year investment period, with an added 10% bonus possible for applicants meeting criteria around employment, transformation, localisation, and geographic inclusion 

To qualify, your business must be:

• A legally registered, tax-compliant South African entity,

• B-BBEE compliant (Level 1–4),

• Engaged in starting, expanding, or upgrading agro-processing operations,

• Able to demonstrate economic sustainability and retain employment .

Eligible investments span:

• New machinery, equipment, commercial vehicles, buildings, and

• Competitiveness-improving costs, such as green technology or productivity enhancements 

You must submit a comprehensive application, including a business plan, three-year income statements and balance sheets, and ensure no assets are procured before approval. Employment levels must be maintained, and claims submitted within six months after completion.
